Dubai Airshow 2011: Bell-Boeing pitches the Osprey to GCC nations

The Bell-Boeing consortium is pushing the V-22 Osprey to GCC nations at the Dubai Airshow.

As the aircraft makes its public debut in the region, both companies are working to convince governments that the type's high speed and performance means that even small numbers of Ospreys would be more cost-effective than large fleets of helicopters.

Although not featuring in the daily air display at Dubai, Bell-Boeing test pilots have been flying a select number of VIPs on demonstration flights in the tiltrotor.
