Dubai 2013: Swiss Kopter unveils Skyrider trainer

Dubai saw the air show debut of a new two-seater light helicopter, which the manufacturer is aiming squarely at the training market as a competitor to the Robinson R22.

Swiss Kopter Technology (SKT), which took over the project in June, displayed the Skyrider 06 light helicopter that it will move into production in December.

A spokesman for the company said the Skyrider took advantage of modern design techniques and materials, including a range of titanium and carbon composites. He added that early interest had already come from India, Pakistan, Russia and the US.
