DSEI 2015: JHC looks to the future

The UK has recently carried out a Future Capability Study (FCS) to set out long term requirements for its current military helicopter fleet and to inform capability planning for ‘beyond 2040’.

This was revealed by the head of the UK’s Joint Helicopter Command (JHC), who outlined his strategic vision for the future of Britain's rotary-wing fleet, ahead of the DSEI exhibition in London.

Speaking at The Future of Military Rotorcraft conference, held in London on 14 September, Major General Richard Felton addressed a range of topics including post-Afghanistan operations, increasing partnerships with allies and future technologies such as unmanned vehicles
