DSEI 2015: Netherlands expands Chinook fleet

The Netherlands will order 14 Boeing CH-47F MYII Chinook medium transport helicopters, it was announced by the Dutch MoD on 7 September.

The €838.1 million contract will be signed by December 2015 with the new aircraft to be delivered from 2019. 

Six CH-47F(NL) helicopters were delivered in 2012 and 2013 to the Dutch Defence Helicopter Command, four of which now operate with the Netherlands training detachment stationed at Fort Hood in the US.
