Denmark requests Seahawks

Denmark is considering purchasing the MH-60R 'Romeo' Seahawk to replace its Lynx fleet and meet the needs of the government's Maritime Helicopter Programme (MHP), it has been disclosed.

A release by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) on 30 November reveals that Denmark's government is requesting a dozen MH-60Rs and associated engines, including three spares, communication and support equipment, in addition to tools, training and logistics support.

The release suggests the entire contract would be worth around $2 billion.
