DefExpo 2018: Boeing helicopter deliveries on track for India

The first of 22 Boeing AH-64E Apaches for the Indian Air Force (IAF) entered the production line at the company’s Mesa facility in the US on 10 April. Delivery of the first aircraft is on schedule for mid-2019.

Meanwhile, the first of 15 CH-47F Chinooks for India was loaded on the line in late 2017. The first tranche of Chinooks will also be handed over to the IAF in mid-2019.

After first delivery, all Apaches and Chinooks will be handed over within a period of a year, Brad Rounding, senior manager of vertical lift global sales & marketing, told Shephard
