Brazilian Army tests MX-10 camera on Fennec

The Brazilian Army Aviation Command in early February tested the L3 Wescam MX-10 camera installed in a Helibras AS550A2 Fennec (H125M) helicopter.

From the Army Aviation Base of Taubaté, in the State of São Paulo, the army aviation flew three hours in simulated missions of reconnaissance and attack compromising of two hours in the daytime period and one hour at night with NVGs.

Among the functions evaluated was the payload's ability to follow moving targets and the capacity to merge images from different sensors to increase the image viewing.
