The Brazilian Army Aviation is at the selection phase of suppliers to modernise its fleet of AS550 A2 Fennec and AS365 K2 Panther with a system for recognition, surveillance, target tracking as well as weaponisation.

The contract is expected to be signed in the first half of 2019 and the testing will start at the end of 2019. The system is expected to be fully operational in 2020. The army wants to acquire 12 weapon systems for the Fennec and eight for the Panther, but it is desirable that the entire fleet is ready and provisioned to receive the system.
