Boeing offered relief on CH-47F Block II

Boeing has been issued with a new IDIQ low rate initial production notice by the US Army, which could see the service buy up to 14 CH-47F Chinook Block II aircraft between FY2021 through to FY2022.

Once a contract is formally awarded, the army will pursue a schedule that includes a minimum of four and a maximum of seven aircraft - under an initial ordering period - with identical quantities planned for a second ordering period, according to a 10 January US DoD presolicitation notice.
