ADEX 2017: Bell promoting AH-1Z for Korea

Bell Helicopter has high hopes for winning a bid for an attack helicopter requirement for a new aviation helicopter group being created for the Republic of Korea Marine Corps (ROKMC).

Bell outlined the practicality of the AH-1Z Viper attack helicopter at this week’s Seoul ADEX, being held from 17-22 October, for the ROKMC's plan to outfit one attack wing for the group. Overall, the group will consist of three wings, two being utility helicopters, expected to be the KUH-1 Surion built by Korea Aerospace Industries(KAI).

A Bell spokesperson said the Vipers are important for interoperability with the US military,
