Bell Helicopter has opened a new sales office in Mexico City, the company announced on 23 October.

The new office will support local and regional customers, and adds to the company's growing footprint in Mexico, which already includes two customer service facilities and a manufacturing facility in Chihuahua. Parent company, Textron, also maintains six additional service and manufacturing facilities throughout the country.

Over 500 military and commercial Bell aircraft are operating in Mexico across a range of mission profiles, including oil and gas, corporate and VIP transport, and general/utility operations.

Matt Hasik, executive vice president of commercial business, Bell Helicopter, said: ‘Bell Helicopter has been and remains a major player in both the aviation and industrial sectors within Mexico. The opening of this office supports our existing customer base and is a key part of our ongoing expansion efforts throughout the country.

'Our increased presence in Mexico is yet another example of how we continue to put in motion our strategy of being closer to our customers, no matter where they are in the world, and providing the superior customer service we are known for.’
