Bell extends components manufacture contract with Kaman
Bell Helicopter has extended its contract with Kaman to manufacture components for its UH-1Y and AH-1Z helicopters, Kaman announced on 26 March.
The five-year follow-on contract is estimated at over $25 million, and will see Kaman continue to manufacture skin and skin to core components for the Bell UH-1Y and AH-1Z helicopters.
Tim Bates, general manager, composite structures-Connecticut and Vermont divisions, Kaman, said: 'We are proud to have been awarded this follow-on contract from Bell Helicopter. We began supplying these components in 2010 and we are delighted to continue this relationship.
'Kaman has now secured long term commitments to supply Bell with skin and skin to core components for both their commercial and military rotor requirements. We look forward to providing these products for years to come.'
