Belarus receives Mi-8MTV-5 helicopters
Russian Helicopters’ subsidiary, Kazan Helicopters, has delivered first batch of Mi-8MTV-5 helicopters to Belarus, the company announced on 28 November.
The six helicopters were delivered to the 50th combined airbase of the Belarusian Air Force in October. Belarus has 12 Mi-8MTV-5s on order under a contract signed at the Army-2015 International Military Technical Forum.
Mi-8MTV-5 helicopter is designed for medical and search-and-rescue operations and cargo and passenger transportation.
Alexander Mikheev, CEO of Russian Helicopters, said: ‘We expect that the transfer of the next batch of 6 helicopters will take place in 2017’.
