Bangladesh looks west for attack helicopters

Bangladesh has approved the purchase of eight Western attack helicopters for the first time, these to be used by the air force to support the army. Consequently, an RfP will be issued by January 2019.

Bangladesh procurement rules specify that once an RfP is released, a decision on the final contender has to be made the same financial year, otherwise the budget expires. Bangladesh closes its annual accounts on 30 June.
