Avalon 2017: Bell positions Viper-Venom combo

The marketing focus for Bell Helicopter at Avalon Air Show 2017 was a major push of its AH-1Z Viper. With the Australian Army's Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter suffering well-publicised difficulties, companies like Bell are aligning their respective offerings as a replacement.

Keith Flail, VP of global military business development, outlined for Shephard Bell Helicopter's offering to Australia. He said that, for less than the price of sustaining and upgrading the current Tiger fleet, the army could buy 22 AH-1Z attack helicopters and 15 UH-1Y Venoms.
