AUSA Global 2019: Army keen to open up FVL competition phase

US Army Aviation is keen to move the Future Vertical Lift (FVL) programme into the competition phase but is still considering an extension of the Joint Multi Role Technology Demonstrator (JMR-TD) science and technology phase.

In addition an official RfI will be issued ‘shortly’, or within the next few weeks, according to Brig Gen Wally Rugen, director of the Future Vertical Lift Cross Functional Team. The assessment of alternatives (AOA) is also coming to a conclusion.
