Apache's future still in army and abroad

As attention turns to Future Vertical Lift (FVL) as the US Army’s next-generation of aircraft, the AH-64 Apache remains a key platform to the service’s fleet and is still integral to Boeing's future international sales.

While the new FVL helicopter is expected to enter the army’s fleet in the 2030s, the AH-64E is projected to remain in service until at least 2060.

On the future of the Apache in the US Army’s service, Col Joseph Hoecherl, Apache project manager at the US Army, said at the recent AUSA exhibition that the service was 'maintaining the Apache, keeping it relevant and continuing
