After the Polish government cancelled its original plan to acquire the H225M Caracal helicopter, Warsaw has launched new negotiations for the purchase of 16 multi-role helicopters for the Polish Armed Forces.

The competition could see Airbus Helicopters once again attempt to penetrate the Polish market. Three companies are likely to be involved in the new competition including Airbus Helicopters, Sikorsky and Leonardo Helicopters.

While Airbus Helicopters could not provide details as to its next move, the company did tell Shephard that it is monitoring the situation in Poland and documents have been collected and are currently being analysed.
