Aerospace Forum Sweden 2012: Sweden builds up Black Hawk expertise

Sweden is rapidly building its UH-60M Black Hawk experience as it prepares for the deployment of the aircraft in March 2013.

Sixteen pilots have now gone through the US Army's Black Hawk training programme at Fort Rucker in Alabama and another eight will be sent to the US later this year.

The Swedish Armed Forces currently have four UH-60Ms based at Malmen AB, near Linköping, with the next batch of aircraft due to arrive in September. This batch will be in an operational configuration and can be fitted with machine guns and the medical equipment, allowing the crews to fully
