Aero India: HATSOFF prepares for increase in training

As helicopter programmes in India gradually come to fruition, the Helicopter Academy to Train by Simulation of Flying (HATSOFF), a JV between Hindustan Aeronautics and CAE, is looking towards upcoming platforms that could potentially be trained on at the facility.

N.H. Krishna, chief of training at the company, explained to a media briefing at the academy that it was always the intention for four platform types to initially be trained on at the facility, but the JV was also looking towards new programmes, namely the Light Utility Helicopter, the Light Combat Helicopter and the Indian Multirole Helicopter programmes.
