Singapore Airshow 2020: Military aircraft procurement set to rise

As exhibitors prepare for the opening day of the Singapore Airshow, many will be eyeing opportunities in the Asia-Pacific fixed-wing aircraft market that is forecast to total $150 billion over the coming decade.

Analysis from Defence Insight has found that much of the military aircraft spending across the region is being fuelled by an ever-more assertive China, which is investing heavily in advanced manned fighter aircraft.

The total fixed-wing military aircraft market value across the Asia-Pacific region is forecast to peak at $82 billion annually in 2024.
