IDEX 2021: Schiebel works on larger, heavier Camcopter
Schiebel is developing a larger and heavier rotary-wing UAV in its Camcopter range, even as the manufacturer seeks more customers for its baseline S-100 aircraft (pictured).
‘We are designing, building, and beginning to test the S-300, which will probably come into service in the next few years,’ said Neil Hunter, global head of business development at the Austrian company.
Speaking to Shephard during the IDEX 2021 defence exhibition in Abu Dhabi on 21-25 February, he added: ‘It is important now that we just focus on the engineering milestones rather than trying to say when it is ready for the market.
