Hero-30 enters service in Israel
UVision announced on 13 July that its Hero-30 portable loitering munition system has been procured by the Israeli MoD and has ‘already been successfully used in combat operations’ by the Israel Defense Forces.
The 3kg Hero-30 can reach speeds of up to 100kt, carries a 500g warhead and has an operational range of up to 40km. Advanced on-the-move capabilities include striking targets with high precision of tracking and lock-on, a last- second-mission-abort and re-engagement for a second attack attempt or change of target.
The latest announcement follows the successful completion of trials involving Hero-30 with an unnamed NATO navy.
