F-35 Lot 15 Block 4 aircraft to receive EW upgrade
Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $64.12 million contract modification for EW systems on the F-35 Lightning II multi-role fighter.
The modification includes the delivery of Digital Tuner Insertion Program EW racks and high-efficiency low-voltage power supply.
‘These upgrades will enable for future upgrades to Lot 15 Block 4 configuration, including Technical Refresh Three for the [US] Air Force and non-Department of Defense participants,’ the DoD announced on 26 January.
Work on the contract from Naval Air Systems Command will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be completed in June 2025.
