Boeing receives FMS modification for Kuwaiti Super Hornets
Boeing is extending integrated logistics support for 28 F/A-18E/F Super Hornet fighter aircraft operated by the Kuwait Air Force, under a $20.86 million FMS contract modification from US Naval Air Systems Command.
Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri (86%); San Diego, California (8%); China Lake, California (5%); and Fort Walton, Florida (1%), and is expected to be completed in December 2023.
In June 2018, Boeing was awarded a $1.5 billion contract for 22 single-seat F/A-18E and six twin-seat F/A-18F models. Deliveries will begin in 2021 and are due to continue until 2025. Shephard Defence Insight forecasts an out-of-service date of 2041 for these aircraft.
