Avalon 2015: Rocket firings planned for Fire Scout

Northrop Grumman plans to do a test firing of an Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) from the new version of its Fire Scout rotary wing UAV in 2016.

The MQ-8C is based on the Bell 407 manned helicopter and incorporates the avionics and control system of the smaller MQ-8B UAV. It has clocked up 359 flight hours.
