DSEI 2015: Launch customer for Carl-Gustaf M4

The Slovak Republic has placed the first order for the Carl-Gustaf M4, while two other unnamed nations have acquired the weapon system for evaluation and qualification.

Torbjorn Saxmo, head of business unit ground combat at Saab, said: 'Slovakia is the first customer for the M4 and the two additional contacts come before full qualification has even been carried out,’ 

The company, announcing the procurement details at the DSEI exhibition in London, would not disclose how many of the shoulder-fired weapon systems have been ordered to date or the value of the contracts.
