AOC 2012: Electronic protection seen as ‘smoke alarm’ of EW

Several service panelists at this week’s Association of Old Crows (AOC) international symposium and convention in Phoenix, Arizona offered similar analogies to characterise Electronic Protection as ‘the smoke alarm in the house of Electronic Warfare‘.

Together with Electronic Attack and Electronic Warfare Support, Electronic Protection is one of three key components traditionally attributed to the overall classification of EW.
